Forthcoming Winter Festival events in Burghead.
Christmas Light switch-on
" This is the 6th year of Burghead Christmas Lights. The display has grown from the initial 6 lights to cover all the main streets plus feature displays on the Community Hall, Bowling Club and Church of Scotland.
The switch-on this year will be at 4.15pm on Saturday 8th December 2007. This will be a low-key affair led by the local minister with carols and possibly a performance by the school children. It is also hoped that Santa will make an appearance.
All attending will be welcome back at the Community Hall afterwards where tea and mince pies will be served and it is hoped that there will be further entertainment."
The event has been financed and supported by The Moray Council, HIE Moray, Highland 2007, St Giles Centre, Elgin Museum, Elgin Town Centre Benevolent Trust, Red Shoes Theatre, Johnston & Carmichael, St Giles Church, Spencer’s Fun Fair, The Coleburn, Intimation Design, Baguette Express, Elgin Rotary Club and with special thanks to Grampian Police for their co-operation and all participating groups and performers.
