To kick off the Moray Winter Festival 2009, the Moray Farmers Market, will transform Elgin City Centre into a bustling market place. The Market has a good selection of local produce, as well as a wide range of local art, crafts and jewellery which will also be on show. You will also have a great opportunity to meet Koppa and Troy, and some of the other Huskies who will be there with their owners who will be on hand to provide you with information about the various breeds and their charity Sled Dog Welfare.
‘Party on the Plainstones’ will create the musical stage for a great line-up of talented local performers who will certainly get your feet tapping. As part of the Fesitval celebration, children can enjoy funfair rides and activities from street performers.
Elgin Library will also be hosting an exciting Open Day and Craft Fair, where you are invited to take part in a range of activities browse through the range of local quality hand made products on display and find that special Christmas gift.
Finally, the festive spirit will truly kick in when the city centre will light up with a colourful display of Christmas lights followed by a light show. The Fochabers Fiddlers Frontline will end the party in style with a range of feet tapping music.
